Contact/About Me

This is a previously private "log of projects"...gone public. I love creating an inexpensive project combined with simplicity. As a wife and a mother of two little ones, I don't have the time for complicated projects nor the funds for extravagance. So here I am...sharing what I've learned. Feel free to use what I've posted and come back often. (**Project ideas are for personal use only...NOT for resale or re-distribution. Do not use photos or written instructions in any way without written consent.)

My email address is: makeitandloveit@gmail.com

If you have questions, comments, suggestions, or just want to chat......please drop me a line. :)

Hafa adai from Guam! Would you consider doing a post on making a washable sleeve for disposable coffee cups? In an old "Real Simple" magazine, I saw that www.solutions.com has a cotton one for $15 that has a pocket for money. I also saw in another magazaine that shopgreenbeing.com sells two, $12 and $15. Cristin Powers makes her coffee cup sleeves after getting her cafe's burlap bags the coffee comes in and uses them along with a local furniture store's fabric remnants. Just a thought that I think would make a cute stocking stuffer, not to mention a great post!

BTW: I enjoy your blog immensely. Getting ready to make some Wee Wee Wigwams in case a boy pops out of my neighbor any hour now...

Have a great Wednesday. Ours was!

Hafa adai! It's me again. Another post idea: a faux fur shrug, basically a tube to fit around the shoulders. Looks so cute over a turtleneck, dresses up jeans. I tried to make one for my daughter, thinking "tube" and it just didn't work at all. I made it just above elbow length, but it didn't fit at the shoulders right. *sigh*

Thanks! (Guam time, Wednesday, 5p.m.)

Kelley.....thanks for a great project idea! I will have to add that to my list. I'm not a coffee drinker but man, I love my specialty hot cocoa. I have seen those cuffs and will have to give them a try. Oooh, and a shrug. That would be a fun project. Thanks and I'll see what I can do!! :)

Thanks and hope all is well in Guam!

ASHLEY! Do you know of any online tutorials for covers for those foam toddler chairs?? You know those disney and cartoon character chairs? My daughters shrunk in the wash and now i have a chunk of chair shaped foam in my living room. Ew. Thanks!

Ashley said...

Sorry Melissa, it took me several days to realize I had a question in here. As for a cover, I would have to take one apart to see the dimensions and see how it was sewn together. I bet you could do it though and just measure around the chair. But if I come across a tutorial (or make one myself) I will let you know! :)
